Art With A Heart

Art With a Heart is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization. Our ability to serve children is directly dependent upon our many wonderful volunteers. We offer a variety of ways in which to serve. Whether you assist a teacher in an art class or summer camp, serve on a board or committee, or simply help in our office, your time spent with Art With a Heart will be deeply gratifying and very much appreciated.

Why Volunteer?

Children who come to Art With a Heart are the least fortunate within our city. Most come from families living at or below the poverty level. Few have ever drawn with anything beyond a crayon or pencil.

Our volunteers find their work at Art With a Heart very fulfilling. They are trained not only about art, but also about the art of nurturing and mentoring children. We want every child who comes to Art With a Heart to leave with a smile on his face, a sense of pride for what he has accomplished, and hope for a better tomorrow. Many volunteers with us because they want to give back, but in doing so they also gain a sense of satisfaction in knowing they have truly made a difference for our next generation.
