![]() “Getting better at it, appreciating it, and starting new pieces with new mediums, all make art one of my favorite extra-curricular activities. Now, I feel confident in my artistic abilities and love to pick up a pencil and draw whatever happens to be in front of me.” -Fletcher |
Summer Camps
Summer is a time to play, imagine, dream and, unbeknownst to our children, learn. All this and more is happening at Art With a Heart’s summer visual arts camps. Here, students create, play, sing, and read, all while learning figure, landscape and still-life drawing, and how to work with clay, mosaics and more. Children also learn teamwork and giving as they unite to create a permanent artwork to be donated to the site housing the camp. All summer camps offer an Artist-in-Residence as a part of the camp experience. Children are able to engage with the artist, and learn about career opportunities within the arts. In addition, each camp offers one art instructor for every 12 children, and strives to maintain a one-to-four ratio of volunteers to participants to ensure for individual attention as needed. Duration of Program: Week long camps, June-July Frequency: M-F Time: To be determined Program Includes: Figure, landscape, and still-life drawing, clay work, group projects, additional activities (sing-along, story time, puppet show, etc.), student art exhibit, and much more. Location: Your school or at our at studio located at 6002 Sunnyside Road, Indianapolis, IN 46236. For more information click here |
